Left behind on the beach

Left behind on the beach,
Colourful broken shells,
Sinking into the sand.
Shiny blue boogie board,
Floating about, waiting for a new owner.

Left behind on the beach,
Floppy jandals
flying around in the wind,
Dirty food scraps
Rotting around the trees.

Left behind on the beach,
Torn yellow mat
Drifting into the mouth of a hungry shark,
Wonky, slimy seaweed
Sliding towards the sparkling water.

Left behind on the beach,
Hard, brown sticks
Sailing towards a far away island,
Bright, green trees
standing, making shade for people.

Left Behind on the Beach

Left behind on the beach
broken mushy sunscreen oozing across the beach
dead smelly fish stinking the beach very badly. .
Left behind on the beach stripy round ball floating on top of the sea sailing
Cracked dirty bottles leaking over the sand.
Left behind on the beach a brown snapped cricket bat half dug up in the sand.
Blue muddy wicket poked in the ground.

Why is Auckland the best city?

Auckland is just a beautiful city to live in.  I would just cry if I left.

Firstly I think there are spectacular restaurants and the scenery is just so beautiful. There are also wide open spaces.  First of all there are lots of beaches so that  children can have fun.  One of the wide open spaces is the Auckland Domain. There's also the Museum on the top of the hill. Cricket is played here in the weekends. In the Museum you can look at dinosaur bones and foot prints. The Auckland Zoo is the most progressive zoo in the world. Also the art gallery has the most extensive range of the national and international art in New Zealand.

Tangaroa's Gift

Long ago in the deep blue sea there lived a sad, lonely Paua who didn't have any friends and thought that he wasn't special.

Paua admired the other sea creatures and wished that he was as beautiful and glittering as they were.  One day Tangaroa, the God of the Sea heard Paua crying and tried to help him.  Tangaroa gave Paua the coolest blues from the sea, the freshest greens from the forest, from the dawn a tinge of violet, from the sunset a blush of pink and overall a shimmer of mother of pearl and the creative and beautiful patterns of all.  But the other sea creatures were jealous and started pecking the shell so it became colourless again.  Then Tangaroa gave him all those colours again but gave him layers and layers so the creatures couldn't harm it.  But when the other sea creatures found out that they couldn't break it, they ignored him and Paua felt very lonely.  Then Tangaroa was angry and gave Paua a beautiful inside but the dull colour of rocks on the outside so nobody knew the secret he had to himself until he died and got washed up on the shore. Then everybody could see the magnificent colours of Earth and the most creative patterns of all.

Left Behind on the beach

Left behind on the beach
An colourful beach ball
Floating to death
Broken umbrella
Buried in the sand.

Left behind on the beach
A bunch of smelly crabs
Waiting for their dinner
A pair of stinky shoes all alone.

Left behind on the beach
Swimming togs for the children
Rubbish for seagulls to collect.

Left behind on the beach
Munched up crumbs
Waiting to be eating
Wobbly bobbly blue bottle
Drying and rotten on the sand.

Left behind on the beach
Salty yellow sand
All around the beach
Gooey melted chocolate
Sitting quietly.

That was summer

Have you ever felt summer? sure you have. Remember that time when we went fishing and we caught a big snapper and we caught a big snapper and we felt the scaly snapper trying to breath?

That was summer

Remember that time
when I was trying very hard to dig a humungously deep hole and I found a 50$ note when my arms were acing and hurting?

That was summer

If you try very hard can you remember that time when we climbed a very high tree and I slipped in the tree and I grabbed on but I got back up and how the slippery branch felt?

That was summer.

Left Behind On The Beach

Left behind on the beach,
White stripy shell,
Floating in the sea.
Mini round hole,
Burrowing into the sand.

Left behind on the beach,
A giant sand castle,
Standing looking at the sea.
Plastic white crates,
Oozing in the sun.
A big brown stick,
Flushing away to sea.

Left behind on the beach,
A little cup,
Holding a handful of water.
A huge dead crab,
lying on a stone.

Left behind on the beach,
Black broken bucket ,
Sheltering some tiny rocks.
Small green sandals,
Going out to sea.
